Taking your littles on vacation can sometimes be such a toss-up over whether the rental property is truly kid friendly. Will there be enough things for them to do to stay entertained? Will they have a good time? When you take your kids with you, you want them to feel as though it’s their vacation too and not just for their parents. So if you’re asking “will my children have lots to do at Gleniffer Lake Resort,” our resounding answer is YES and here’s why!
We strive to be as family-friendly as we can here at Gleniffer Lake Resort and Country Club and with the kids in mind, we’ve filled our calendar with events and our resort with amenities. If you’ve got a kid who loves everything sports, we have a baseball diamond, tennis courts, a basketball court and beach volleyball for some epic games with other resort kids. Yes, the kids actually play together here! There’s a games room in the Clubhouse where board game showdowns are encouraged, there are two playgrounds on-site with a full swing set, a collection of outdoor fitness apparatuses for the kids to test out, as well as five horseshoe pits to stage your championship competitions.
Maybe your kiddos are more into building sandcastles than competitions, but if a sandcastle competition were to break out, our nearly 5,000 feet of gorgeous, sandy shoreline seems the perfect place to do it! There’s plenty of room for you to set up the umbrella and cozy in with a good book while you watch the kids play. Did we mention we have one of the prettiest lakes in Alberta? We’re biased of course, but once you take a dip in the crystal clear waters, you might agree with us on this. You can take full advantage of the cool lake waters on hot days and if you have a boat, bring it with you! We have boat slips for rent and you can spend as many lazy days on the water as you like!
If the kids aren’t in the mood for the lake but still want to swim, we’ve got an outdoor and an indoor pool on-site at the Clubhouse, and we also have a hot tub! Soak up the sun on the pool deck while the kids practice their cannon balls, but be careful not to sit too close to the splash zone!
These are just some of the amenities we have to keep you occupied and our events calendar has something for everyone. Halloween in August is swiftly approaching and we encourage you to bring your imagination, as well as a costume! Come dressed up on August 6th at 7 pm for a dance party with the DJ! On Canada Day we host a bike parade and movie nights are a big deal during the summer, don’t forget to pick up your ice cream and other treats at the General Store for your movie nights!
